Now you're talking about political deception that many were subjected as well as possible actions of public complaint or of creating an avenue for future policy action that should have been but was not, I want to expose my thoughts on the subject.
At this point we are many hundreds of people than at any time and participate in Pro Platform in UPyD we have found that we were deceived and used. But that's not the worst. Many put our image, credibility and prestige to the service and as an endorsement of that party. In my case, not only as the first candidate in the general 2008 in Zaragoza during the activity but also as Coordinator of Aragon. Thus, unwittingly, broadcasting deception and collaborate with our fellow citizens to disseminate a message that the organization internally, at the highest level, not be created or enforced. Thus there would be no nonsense if we tried now correct and correct misinformation that transmit and communicate the facts so that voters are not fooled. I I did at the time and I must admit that I'm proud of it, as my comfortable position in the party I stopped to raise the first explicit and democratic opposition, with my amendment to the entire regulation of Congress in March 2008 and in the Political Council that month. I am also pleased that this communication did in the media. Publicly all started there and never returned to the same thing.
However, I must say that I see no possibility of building a new organization or party, or association which might serve us all and serve the society for that for which UPyD did not work. The reasons are threefold.
1. While there is still limping this party is not feasible to present with a similar political message and communication efforts would be diluted to make a difference have yet to show the falsity of one and the veracity of another. The electorate does not digest it. For those wishing to republish the game in what should have been, I suggest you wait to complete their decline. Then it's time to see if there remains a need to defend these approaches to society, if UPyD has not done discredit to their performance.
2. The story that binds us also has disengaged. Both I and some others that we rebel democratic and faultlessly against internal dictatorship, not want to work with people who vilified us for it and then to have risen to the critical group, when they were personally affected or marginalized. I mean, who soon find out what really happened, because they did not have enough information because the party did not allow internal communication. Yes, I mean, first of all, who remain members of the Board of Directors endorsed and voted for the regulation undemocratic Congress a few weeks later supported the opening of files and purging to avoid better to present candidates in the Congress. Interestingly these same people resigned then when they found that did not have the personal support of Rosa Díez in its confrontation with the then Coordinator of Madrid. I must admit that it was fun to see that not even cooperate with the dictatorship avoid getting kicked out of her. Finally, do not want to work with people who need a leader (or leader) and give credibility absolute and unconditional blind following, making the need to relinquish control democratic representatives or leaders. Such people made it possible for a dictatorship in Spain lasted forty years and are the cannon fodder that allows parties to be undemocratic.
3. The ideas we are also disjoint. I remember how a renowned economist, now opposition leader, suggested in a Political Council to freeze the pensions. The same person decided solely by economic arguments and ignoring what is sustainability, to the Ebro transfer was very cheered latter (and not very politely) for much of the Political Council. I also hear positions on nuclear energy or renewable issued without having any idea of \u200b\u200bthem bloody. I've seen that some accused the "leftism" of all the evils of the party and even in Spain, while their positions "liberals" were the only respectable. I've seen "progressives" to justify the absence of democracy in the interests of supposed efficiency. I at least I can not share everything. These discrepancies had arisen when we founded UPyD, but now I have done.
As a corollary, I am sure that if we had planted at the same time all came to light when the first anti-democratic abuses, the story was very different and the game could have been saved. Now only remains to be seen how languishes. There are many positive things can still be made, we can contribute to society, but not this way.
